Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responds to user requests for technical assistance either via Help Desk, telephone or in person. Troubleshoots the problem and resolves the issue. Records the incident using help desk software.
• Configures hardware and / or peripherals including printers, hand held units, scanners, etc. to maintain network compatibility and software compatibility.
• Configures software products, including MS Office Suite and Navis terminal operating system as required Installs upgrades to software products on user machines and on servers.
• Perform daily health check and monitoring of company LAN and Wan environment including Layer 2 & 3 network switches and firewalls, remote access VPN, and VPN users accounts.
• Monitor network performance, plan and apply changes to improve performance.
• Configures all new and reconfigure existing equipment as needed to enhance performance and security.
• Apply software upgrades and install firmware’s provided by Cisco, VMWare, Brocade, Ubiquity, Citrix and all other network equipment.
• Maintain SAN ( Fiber channel switches)
• Design, deploy, and administer the wireless infrastructure
• Troubleshoots all LAN and WAN problems.
• Perform periodic stress testing of all networking and security equipment.
• Maintains inventory of IT equipment and spare parts, and ensures that all equipment is accounted for.
• Maintain working backup of all current networking equipment configs.
• Perform network design and implementation tasks.
• Maintain documentation for networking hardware, systems and configurations
• Assist with other hardware upgrades including server upgrades, changes to client machines and set up for new computers.
• Provides “on call” (after hours, weekend and holiday) support as needed.
• Performs all other duties as requested.

• Capabilities:

• Knowledge & experience with Window Server 2012 and above, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Ability to implement operational strategies that align with company goals
• Ability to lead and manage projects
• Experience deploying and managing VMware virtualization technology
• Experience in network administration and security
• Experience with commercial Wi-Fi networks
• Experience with Cloud networking technology
• Cisco CCNA certification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Experience of 2+ years in managing and maintaining VMWare environment
• Experience of 2+ years of networking with routers, Cisco ASA Firewall and Layer 2 and 3 switches
• Experience of 2+ years in managing and maintaining Citrix NetScaler Load Balancer & Reverse Proxy
